Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority is the youngest</div> <div> sorority in the National Pan-Hellenic Council and remains the first and only historically African-American collegiate sorority founded on a predominantly white campus. This non-profit service and social organization was founded on November 12, 1922--a time when higher education for women and African-Americans was difficult to obtain. Public service, leadership development and education of youth are the hallmark of the organization's programs and activities.
